Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you take commissions?
Unfortunately, No, I don't. Circumstances with people guilting me about not getting art from me have totally turned me against doing commissions as a professional service.
- How long have you been drawing?
By my reckoning, I've been drawing since I was seven or eight. I didn't start drawing Furries until I was 16, or so. That makes the answer "A Long Time".
- How did you learn to draw? Did you go to art school?
I learned how to draw by picking up a pencil and pushing it at the paper until I thought I had drawn something. My formal art training consisted of the usual Grade School art classes and one College drawing class. I'm basically untrained and it shows. I just like to draw.
- How long does it take you to draw and color a picture?
I can't give exact times, since I've never timed myself. On average, it will take me between three to eight hours to do the pencils on a drawing, depending on the complexity and detail. Inking, for me, is much easier, and that will typically run an hour or three. Coloring, the bane of my existance, takes a while, even using Photoshop and it's wonderful ability to alter colors. The fastest I've managed is two hours. In general, the average to color is six, or so.
So, on average, for an 8.5" x 11" drawing, it'll take me about twelve hours to take a picture from pencil scratches to uploadable color.
